The new ESP32-S3-N16R8 is now officially supported by ZeDMD.
It offers unparalleled performance compared to the older ESP32, supporting full-speed 8-bit color rendering on platforms like Windows, Linux, and macOS. Additionally, it provides the flexibility to stream frames over WiFi if preferred over a USB-C connection.
Not to forget, there is a diode that converts 5V input voltage to ~4.5V. This helps prevent potential flickering on LED panels and significantly increases the lifespan!
Currently the shield supports both:
- SD 128×32
- HD 256×64
- Only for Visual Pinball!
This shield arrives with no parts assembled. Make sure you have a soldering iron and some tin!
